Biological Resources Evaluation
Point West Development
Redding, California
Client: Point West Properties, LLC, Redding, California
TES staff conducted a Biological Resources Evaluation for the Point West Development in Redding, California in compliance with the City of Redding’s Streamside Corridor Protection Ordinance and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).  The project involved the proposed development of a private commercial office building overlooking the Sacramento River.  TES staff performed an evaluation of the potential impacts of the proposed project on biological resources and prepared a report of findings to support a reduction of the standard set-back distance, which had previously rendered the property non-developable.  The reduced set-back was approved by the City of Redding in 2004, which allowed the development to proceed.
